Surfing the web, reading your blogs and being 'addicted' to interior magazines there are lot of ideas for my own home spinning around in my head all the time. Some images you forget again but some you always remember and love to bits... I am pretty sure that all these ideas and impressions, influence the decisions you make when changing or renovating a room or maybe even your whole house.
I have a thing that I call my 'master plan'... it is an idea of an atmosphere I have in mind for a certain room or corner in my house. In my head I am working towards the Master plan .... (are you still following me?) Depending on the right moment, the things I already have or collected or just came on my path ... It can take a weekend or, more likely if money is involved as well... even a year before the plan is ready to work out...
My own Master plan.....
Now let me explain you my 'master plan' It all has to do with knocking down a wall in my kitchen to make it bigger and create room for a big table! One of the things I like most is having dinners with friends and family, nothing formal... just enjoying each others company, chatting and enjoying fresh food around a (preferable big) table. After knocking down walls... One of my wishes is to lay the white floor I already have in some of the rooms throughout the whole house...
The good thing about having a master plan....
The good thing about working towards your master plan is that decisions about tables, chairs and cabinets can switch from black to white or metal... because it is all a thing in your head and seeing new products or articles can make you change and also switch back easily to whatever you were planning first.
For my own kitchen plan I made some decisions... It has to have the same atmosphere as the rest of my house... Being overall white with some grays. Relaxing and definitely some concrete wall exposed and an industrial touch! Like metal cabinets or industrial tabourets.
Ohh and white chairs I want. It has to be a kind of combination between the two pictures above ..... So now you might understand why I have a white chair in my studio pimped with a sheepskin in a beautiful shade of gray.... It is all part of the masterplan

Hello from France !
This master plan sounds a wonderful and very exciting plan! I hope you will soon make it a reality.
Lieve groet, Ingrid
Oh yes, I understand totally. I always have a Master Plan in my head, that is constantly changing. LOVE yours! The good thing is once it's in your head, it has to come out somehow!... so it will materialise in all it's white and grey glory.
A-M xx
Lieve groet,
Miranda
I think that your masterplan is already coming together beautifully, Desiree..... at least in the rest of your home. I love your plans for your kitchen and only wish that I lived near to you so that I could be part of one of your 'get together's' !!!!

Sounds like a GRAND master plan to me!!! I can't believe how many times mine has changed since blogging...
and then changed again... then again. LOL
;-D robelyn
oh your masterplan sounds intriguing...good luck with it.
I'm sure the outcome will be super stylish!
Tja dat masterplan veranderd contineu mijn rode draad is de basis wit of eigenlijk in dit geval de witte draad, dit doe ik al jaren en dat bevalt me prima maar interieur is constant on the move....
succes&liefs
Jou sfeer is echt "dees" sfeer, bijzonder mooi! petje af nogmaals...
Well, your master plan sounds awesome...never quite thought in that way but I think it is very useful to have an idea in your head to give you guidance when you plan some major change...the rest are just details..
Your master plan sounds wonderful. I've not thought of calling it that.
I am following you! I know you will make it happen:))
Fijne dag , groetjes
Hi Desiree, I love your master plan...You can create the atmosphere you have in mind, not always easy to achieve!!
Hugs
Zaira ♥
I like you’re master-plan..
Time too change....
like me..
xxKari
All the best, bises, M.
Kuss
Oh my god, I do not know where to begin. First, glad to be home again! And have a look into your magical world. Amazing how many beautiful pictures you have taken of your home since the last time, love all your ideas! They are so innovative and cool. You Inspire me so often. Yep, I also go around with this big plan in my head. But for my part, it takes years before it becomes something. For I have a hard time finding the special things that will fit perfectly. Your plan sounds good, the thought of sitting around a big long table is inviting. It has for me always been a part of my dream.
But now you my good friend, I think you have much to tell me? What is this with "Ikea family live". Sorry, but I've never heard of it, and I realized not everything by reading the post either. But you have been visited by a photographer and the photos will be published in a magazine? This is great news!! congratulations! I think you stand out in the blogging world and have a good understanding of what is different in a fun, artistic and beautiful way. I am glad you`ve been picked. Fun! I have to check out Jake Curtis.
On our way home, we stopped for a couple of days in the Nederlands. I visited my favorite shop Combitex. Came across a stack of beautiful old fabrics, which I can not wait to use for a few of my new products, this autumn.
Hope everything else is good with you!
Lots of hugs, Aina
Ohh! I save The picture 3 a long time ago.
I want to have this place. so nice!
I completely understand what you mean about a master plan! I too always have ideas for my home spinning around in my head {sometimes it even keeps me up at night - not good}! Everything you are planning sounds so wonderful!!! I can't wait to see it come together for you :) The chair in your studio is a great start!
Hugs ~

Succes

Ciao! since I am moving, I am surrendering to a bigger master plan, not knowing where I am going... so I am thinking of nordic white with pops of black and grey and faded pastels... love your industrial look... it is so hard to come by here...
Thanks for sharing your masterplan. We all need masterplans, don´t we? And your is beautiful!
Totally understand. It's good to have a masterplan.:) I can't wait to see what magic you create. Lidy
Have a nice week-end...
Marie
Fijn weekend, groet Hennie
Dreaming of houses ;)
liefs
Yes, I know what you mean. We are renovating an entire house here in the south of France and I know exactly how I want it be. Despite all the colour in my blog, we have very similar home interior tastes.
Love your master plan...
Right it's Sunday and the pics of your bedroom's corner are live and look fab. Thank you very much!!
Next week I will show the bedroom of Victoria from sfgirlbybay.com
Have a great Sunday!

Coucou,
Liefs,

I love this post Desiree! It is so nice to read a little bit about your process, how you go about decorating and work out your ideas. Love the pimped chair too!
